Dr. B. D. Jatti Homeopathic Medical College was started in 1992 with an initial intake of 25 students. Since its takeover by Dakshin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Dharwad, due to sincere efforts of the Management & Staff, the intake of the college has increased to 100 from the year 2003-04. The postgraduate course M.D (Hom.) was established in 2002. At present, the institution offers postgraduate education in four core specialties, with a total annual intake capacity of 17 seats. The college is housed in an impressive building in the heart of the city in five acres of land in the vicinity of the central bus stand and railway station (just 1km). There are many qualified & highly experienced faculty members on the rolls of the college. The college is permitted by Depts. of AYUSH, Govt. of India & Govt. of Karnataka. Permitted by MARBH and National Commission For Homoeopathy, New Delhi and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, Bengaluru. In addition to the Outpatient Department (OPD), the college is attached to a 55-bedded hospital that provides comprehensive Homoeopathic inpatient care. The institution also has an integrated MOU hospital equipped with modern operation theatres and advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities. These facilities enable the management of a wide range of major surgical, obstetrical and gynecological, ENT, and ophthalmological cases.
